MA 00 – Work Schedule

On the first day we were handed out a several page long schedule of handout dates and deadlines. I went through it and made a list of all the dates that is relevant for me to remember. Handouts and deadlines of all the Mandatory Assignments, Project Exam and Portfolio.

At first I thought this was going to be boring, but after doing it I realized it was a very clever task. I got a better overview of all the dates, and now I can mentally prepare for the tasks. Skjermbilde 2016-03-26 kl. 20.10.14

LA – Moodle Profile

One of the first things I did was to edit my profile on Moodle.
I wrote a little about myself, and added a picture.

Since we dont have a physical classroom I thought it was important write what defines me, and who I am.  While writing I figured out that my role as a mom and wife is who I define myself as. During this study I hope to find myself as a graphic designer, and make that part of my identity.

LA – Forum Presentation

One of the learning activities this week was to get to know the forum and the other students.
I wrote a short introduction of myself, and added a link to my blog so that both students and lecturers easily could find my reflected journal.
It was really nice to read about the other students, and to “get to know them” a bit. Since we are going to have to deal with each other a bit the next couple of years.

Since we dont have a physical classroom, I checked out all of the other students blogs, to get to “know” them even better. I think they are all really good, and I’m looking forward to making this journey with them.

Here is a list over the part time students:

LA – Moodle map

When I first read about this learning activity I got a little stressed out. I struggled a bit figuring this whole Moodle thing out, and making a map of it did not make much sense. At least until my word playing brain kicked in. I started reading Google map instead of Moodle map, and that really helped me getting the Moodle platform.

To draw this map I used a pencil, paper and some color pens to make certain aspects of the drawing pop.

For inspiration I used and searched for “Google map” and “Norwegian map”.  And of course Moodle.

Even though I started out thinking this would be a tricky one, I really enjoyed doing this.
Now I like it, and think that I`m starting to get the hang of it.

I present to you:

LA – My journey here..

Well.. After years just working, being a mom and hopefully a supportive wife, I realized it was about time to start using my head once again. And while writing this, I really understand that both mind and creativity is way way back in there (hopefully). And I need to work hard to get them out of their hiding places. I used to see myself as a creative person. But the last 10 years my creativity has not had to much room nor time to grow. So I`m looking forward to start being creative again.

I`ve always loved photography, making things, art, colors and pretty things. All this combined, and the urge to get more knowledge, resulted in me wanting to study graphic design on Noroff Nettstudier.

I studied car mechanics for two years before taking a third year with core subjects to get my diploma. After this I wanted to make some of my marks better so I did some online studies.  But that is some years ago, and alot has happened in schooling since that. I think this is going to be both hard and extremely interesting. And I hope it doesn’t take me to long to get the hang of this internet studying thing.

Since much of my work revolves around making layouts and ads, I thought it would be good to get some more knowledge about this. I want to do a better job, and me learning more, may result in me getting to do even more of this. And in the future even catalogs and bigger ads.

As an addition to this text I had to add a self portrait, which was not a photograph. I really twisted my brain to figure out what that could be..
So this is me.. Out the box..
